How to calculate the seed rate
All soybean varieties do not have the same seeding rates since they respond differently. Therefore, it is important to plant a variety with its corresponding population to obtain the desired results. Your Agrocentre representative will help you to get the population depending on the spacing, 7, 14 or 30 inches.
Since the number of grains / kg varies from year to year, it is therefore important to calculate the precise seeding rates based on the information located on the seed bag.
Formula :

Conversions Tips
Kg/ha x 0.89 = lbs/ac
Lbs/ac x 1.12 = kg/ha
Exemple:
Target population: 540,000 seeds / ha
On the seed bag, it's written 5355 seeds / kg
Meaning :
