A few important dates

1967

Corporate foundation of Servicentre Harnois inc. by Mr. Jean-Marc Harnois in partnership with a multinational enterprise called C-I-L (Canadian Industries Limited). A few years later, C-I-L will become the only shareholder of the company.

1978

Mr. Yves St-Jean, a Manager which had been working at Servicentre Harnois inc., and then for C-I-L for quite some time, becomes partner in the enterprise. The said enterprise will then adopt its current name: Agrocentre Lanaudière inc.

1986

Mr. Christian Archambault redeems Mr. Yves St-Jean's shares.

1989

La Coop fédérée becomes the owner of Canadian Industries Limited (C-I-L).

1998

Mr. Christian Archambault passes on the lead to his brother, Mr. Pierre Archambault, which had already been working for the enterprise since 1985. Mr. Christian Archambault will then take over the position of Sales Manager.

2003

Luc Boivin, which had been working for Agrocentre Lanaudière inc. since 2003, and Mario Lafond which had also been working for the company as a foreman since 1999 become Pierre Archambault's partners.

2006

Luc Boivin and Mario Lafond become the new owners.

2007

Substantial investments are made to renovate the facilities and to buy a new fertilizer blender.

Specificities of the served territory

The territory served by Agrocentre Lanaudière spreads over four administrative regions: La Mauricie, Lanaudière, the Laurentians and Laval. It goes from Oka, in the Laurentians, to Louiseville, in the East, and includes lots of horticultural crops and potato producers. We have therefore developed an expertise in these fields along the past years and the horticultural crops producers constitute now 50 % of our clientele.

Mission

The mission of Agrocentre Lanaudière is to be a strategic player of its territory in terms of crop productions services, for horticultural crops as well as field crops. Therefore, the enterprise must remain on top of things when it comes to the latest technologies and be innovative enough to always provide the producers with new opportunities. Our deep involvement with the said producers in terms or Research & Development projects says a lot about our engagement to solve current issues as well as to continuously innovate in order to improve the productivity and the environment of their enterprises.
