Agrocentre Saint-Pie, an important distributor of agricultural supplies, contributes to the development of the agricultural customers in the central eastern section of the Montérégie from its plant in Saint-Pie and Saint-Valérien de Milton.

" It is our mission to answer the needs of agricultural producers by providing them with a wide range of efficient quality products for their soil and their crops as well as professional services to ensure good management of their farm. "

History

1971

CIL, a company which was making and distributing fertilisers in eastern Canada, invests in the Saint-Pie de Bagot plant in order to be closer to their customers who were at the time served by the Saint-Hyacinthe plant. The Saint-Pie plant, at first managed by Saint-Hyacinthe, quickly achieves autonomy and takes its place in the larger Agrocentre network.

1982

In the early ‘80’s, CIL undertakes to create businesses in partnership with their sites in eastern Canada. In 1982, Mr.Jacques Blouin becomes a partner in this new entity Agrocentre Saint-Pie Inc.

1985

The business opens a new plant in Saint-Valérien de Milton in order to serve their customers who are more and more involved in corn production due to the introduction in the market of new early hybrids.

1989

CIL decides to withdraw from the agricultural marketplace and sells all its shares in the Québec Agrocentre network to the Federated Coop (known at the time as the Québec Federated Cooperative). Agrocentre, through this new partnership, gains access to the vast expertise of a major player in Québec agriculture.

Today

Throughout the following years, Agrocentre Saint-Pie has had a number of different partners. Today, the business is composed of a team of professionals made up of agronomists, qualified agricultural technologists and experienced employees who follow through on the production, care and administration of the business. They offer excellent customer service and maintain privileged relations with their suppliers.
