The Novagro Range
In order to increase the success of their agricultural producers, the Agrocentre network has the Novagro range of products which mainly feature the following:

Novagro D
This product contains a good concentration of calcium and magnesium which favours the increase of the micro pH when mixed with mineral fertilizers. It contributes to root development upon seeding. -
Novagro G
This product contains calcium and sulphur without interfering with the micro pH. Ideal for crops that require a good sulphur contribution and to correct the calcium, this element is available to the plant upon its application.
The use of this product range adapts to each situation:
- soil type
- crop type
- control type
These fertilizers are added to the formula when necessary and help improve the yield. These products contain calcium and sulphur or magnesium in order to ensure availability of these elements. A balanced fertilizer increases the growth performance of the crop and in consequence the addition of these elements helps the crop to absorb the NPK.

Liquid and solid fertilizer
Completing the range of fertilizers, Agrocentre distributes liquid and solid fertilizers. The distribution method can differ from one region to another but the products are mainly Solutech brand.
The Solutech brand has many different formulas which answer the needs of all crops from market vegetables and field crops.
Agrotain
Agrotain is one of the new generation of additives for nitrogen fertilizers. The Agrocentre network is its main supplier. This product improves the efficiency in the use of granular urea and urea based nitrogen solution by reducing nitrogen dispersion for a period of 7 to 14 days.
How it works
Agrotain is a liquid impregnated either at the Agrocentre or at the producer’s who has his own mixer to do the job. At impregnation, Agrotain blocks the activity of the urease enzyme which is responsible for the transformation of urea into ammonia which is released into the environment and causes ammonia burn to the seedlings. With Agrotain, the use of urea or a nitrogen solution is improved.
Urea, nitrogen solutions and the nitrogen cycle
Besides slowing down the first step of urea conversion (CO(NH2)2) into ammoniac, AGROTAIN also prevents two important problems related to the use of urea and nitrogen solutions: 1. the volatilization and 2. the ammoniacal burns of the plant germs.
This graphic shows how urea granule, and urea contained in the nitrogen solutions, transform into nitrogen which in turn can be used in crops. It also illustrates both the steps where nitrogen can be lost and where in can hurt the plant germs.

The Écogro range
Although the Agrocentre network is principally involved in the agricultural marketplace, it also has a range of products, Écogro, designed for lawns and gardens. Available in the 25 kg format, different formulas of mineral fertilizers or biological fertilizers are available for your lawns and gardens.
