“Agrocentre Saint-Hyacinthe Inc. helps the region’s agricultural producers increase their profitability and efficiency by offering quality products and services.”

A Few Key Dates

Before being called the Agrocentre Saint-Hyacinthe Inc., the company was owned by multinational corporation C-I-L.

La Coop fédérée (formerly Coopérative fédérée de Québec) buys C-I-L’s shares.

Jean-Denis Beaudin and Christian Bouvier become shareholders with La Coop fédérée.

Agri-Seme is created.

Quebec’s first bulk soybean site is opened.

Agrocentre St-Hyacinthe Inc. is managed by Christian Bouvier, President and CEO, holder of a Bachelor of Industrial Relations, with a concentration in human resources management, from Université Laval, and Jean-Denis Beaudin, Vice-President, a certified agronomist with a university diploma in agronomy.

Both care about the environment and understand the importance of properly preparing the new generation of producers, for example by recruiting interns. Their R&D department is always on the lookout for new technologies that could help better serve its clientele. This technology is then field-tested to offer producers top-performance products that are best suited to their soil and weather conditions.

Thanks to new emerging markets and growing global demand for quality foods, agriculture’s future is looking bright. The team at Agrocentre Saint-Hyacinthe believes that our economic sector will be quite prosperous in the coming years.
