IMPORTANT DATES 

1967
Servicentre Harnois Inc. is founded by Jean-Marc Harnois in partnership with the multinational C-I-L (Canadian Industries Limited). A few years later, C-I-L becomes the company’s sole shareholder.

1978

Yves St-Jean, who had been a manager at Servicentre Harnois Inc. on behalf of C-I-L, partners with Jean-Marc Harnois. The company adopts the name Les Engrais Lanaudière Inc.

1986
Christian Archambault buys back Yves St-Jean's share.

1989
La Coop fédérée becomes the owner of the shares of Canadian Industries Limited (C-I-L).

1999
Pierre Archambault, who had been working for the company since 1985, succeeds Christian Archambault. Mr. Archambault becomes the director of sales.

2003
Luc Boivin, agr., advisor for Engrais Lanaudière Inc. since 2003, and Mario Lafond, a foreman with the company since 1999, partner with Pierre Archambault.


2006
Luc Boivin, agr. and Mario Lafond become the new owners.

2007

Major investments to renovate the facilities and purchase a fertilizer mixer machine and a scale are made.

2009
In April, the company changes its name to Agrocentre Lanaudière Inc. to harmonize it with that of the other group members.

2013

Major investment in a 6,000 ft2 seed warehouse. Certified Phase III in accordance with AWSA norms and standards, this warehouse enables the company to provide a superior service by increasing its plant protection product storage capacity. The company also becomes more significantly involved in grain marketing.

2017
Following the retirement of Mario Lafond, Caroline Turcotte, P.T., Frédéric Gagnon, an agronomist, and Philippe Pelletier, CPA, CGA, who had all been employed at Agrocentre Lanaudière for many years, become shareholders.

SERVICE AREA

The area served by Agrocentre Lanaudière covers four administrative regions: Mauricie, Lanaudière, the Laurentians, and Laval. It extends from Oka, in the Laurentides, to Louiseville, further east. The area includes numerous vegetable, field crop, and potato producers.

Over the years, we have developed a sound expertise. Vegetable producers now account for 50% of our clients.
