Before becoming Agrocentre Saint-Hyacinthe Inc., the company belonged to the multinational C-I-L.

1990
La Coop fédérée (formerly Coopérative fédérée de Québec) buys back C-I-L’s shares.

1999
Jean-Denis Beaudin, agr. and Christian Bouvier, T.P., become shareholders in the company with La Coop fédérée.

2006
Opening of Agri-Seme.

2013
Inauguration of the first bulk soybean site in Quebec.

2017
Agrocentre St-Hyacinthe, in partnership with Agrocentre Vinisol, Agrocentre St-Pie, Agrocentre Lanaudière, and Gestion KFY, becomes a shareholder in Agrofibres, a business dedicated to the industrial decortication of hemp stalks — and the first plant of its kind in operation in Quebec.


VISION

Agrocentre St-Hyacinthe Inc. is headed by Christian Bouvier, P.T., CEO, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management from Université Laval, and Jean-Denis Beaudin, Vice-President, who holds a university degree in agronomy and is an agronomist.

The next generation of shareholders that recently arrived includes Daniel Bellavance, an agronomist, Éric Beaudry, P.T., Miguel Provost, an agronomist, and Simon Bellavance, P.T.

Every shareholder recognizes the importance of responsible environmental stewardship, hence the company’s involvement in the Cleanfarms program. 

The R&D department aims to always be on the lookout for innovative technologies. Through field tests, we improve our knowledge to subsequently benefit farmers.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SERVICE AREA

The area served by Agrocentre Saint-Hyacinthe Inc. extends from south to east from Highway 116 to Rang Saint-Georges de Bagot, and from the Trans-Canada Highway to the Saint-François River, excluding Rang du Nord-Ouest and Rang Saint-Simon.

To the east, the area ends at the junction of the Saint-François and St. Lawrence rivers, north of Saint-François du Lac. The area includes the land west of the Richelieu River, bordered on the south by Highway 112 and on the west by the St. Lawrence River.

Our geographic location provides us flat plains and extremely fertile soil. Our access to the St. Lawrence River favours the development of the international market.
